The Ohio Junior Simmental Association (OJSA) is an organization for youth ages 8 through 21 who reside in Ohio or West Virginia and enjoy Simmental cattle. The OJSA membership meets throughout the year and also provides workshops to prepare members to compete in American Junior Simmental Association educational contests. Workshop topics include sales talk, public speaking, livestock judging, and beef industry information which can be applied in two tests offered at AJSA events.

Beyond educational opportunities, youth exhibit Simmental and Sim-Influenced cattle at their annual state kick-off show held on Memorial Day weekend, which serves as a practice run for the AJSA regional and national events held in June and July.
